
Strengths:
Boyne resorts has a very loyal customer base that buys season passes no matter how much it snows. They also have a great reputation and are well known through out the area. They also have great customer service, with their hotel chains and along with there golf and ski staff. They offer great deals to make a family trip affordable and fun.
Weaknesses:
The weather brings a lot of good revenue but it also can stop their customers if it is not snowing at all. The same goes for the rainy weather in the summer. If it is constantly raining than their golf sales could be going down as well. On the skiing side of the business, the company does not offer much for a beginner, the hills are mostly for experienced skiers.
Opportunities:
Boyne has a really good way to draw in more skiers and golfers. The way to do that is by advertising. I have not really seen too many Boyne Resorts commercials and I believe that they are missing out on a huge opportunity. They also could offer fre lessons for beginning skiers if they book a weekend at their hotels.
Threats:
Competitors are sometimes closer and more affordable to customers. It is a little bit of a drive for some customers to make a day trip, and sometimes it might be cheaper for a customer to go to a local competitor. Weather can threaten the sales and business for each season.
